From 28 August to 27 September 2026, Crescent Mall invites families and Moomin fans to experience the Moominvalley atmosphere through “Moonlit Moominvalley” a special Mid-Autumn-themed decoration created exclusively for Crescent Mall.
Marking Crescent Mall’s first large-scale Moomin presentation in Vietnam, the experience brings the Moominvalley atmosphere to Hall B through a moonlit setting featuring familiar characters, nature-inspired scenery, creative weekend activities and Mid-Autumn celebrations.

A STORY THAT BEGAN WITH FINDING HOME
Created by Tove Jansson (1914–2001), the Finnish writer, artist and illustrator behind the Moomin stories, the Moomins first appeared in a series of books and comics that would eventually become beloved around the world.
The first Moomin story, The Moomins and the Great Flood, was written during World War II and published in Finland in 1945. At a time of uncertainty, Jansson imagined a gentler world, one filled with adventure, friendship, inclusivity and hope.
The story follows Moomintroll and Moominmamma as they search for the missing Moominpappa and a place to call home. Their journey eventually leads them to the Moominvalley, which becomes the heart of Moomin valley, a welcoming place where family and friends can always return.
That idea of home, belonging and having a place to return to remains one of the most enduring parts of the Moomin world.
